This painting was inspired by a vista I glimpsed on a holiday in Noosa earlier in the year. I’m a bit of a sucker for an early morning walk before everyone else gets going for the day, and on one of my morning walks I noticed a sandy path leading off the footpath and into a shady patch of bush.
The path seemed to draw you in, and I could imagine it being a lovely little spot to stop and rest. The title also alludes to Noosa itself; a place that, for me, feels like an invitation to slow down and rest.
I hope you can feel the tropical warmth in this painting, and that sense of being drawn towards the cooler patch of shade - an inviting little place to pause, breathe and take a rest.
