Oil On Canvas
80x105.5cm, Framed
Violet Descent captures a moment in time. I chose a large canvas to draw the viewer into the drama. This drama is captured from an unusual angle which makes the viewer feel like they are on the wave and in the scene, also about to make that precarious descent. I love the vintage feel of the wetsuit and the colours in the sky.
On closer viewing, there are pops of beautiful turquoise and pink, echoing the transient play of colour in light and sprays of water as she surfs down the wave.
