The native grasses that grow abundantly on the headlands of the Northern Beaches are underrated. They’re delicate, varied, intricate, pretty, and some, such as Kangaroo Grass, packed with nutrients.
The Kangaroo Grass impressed on this white porcelain bowl was found overhanging the well-trodden pathways on Turrimetta Head where the birds of prey career overhead and the whales breach below.Headlands bowl is constructed from a commercially available high fire white porcelain paperclay. Being fired in reduction, the interior clear glaze has developed a very subtle green celadon tinge.
