I've always been drawn to flowers because they seem to speak a language we all understand. They celebrate life's happiest moments, offer comfort when words aren't enough, and remind us to notice beauty in the everyday. In my paintings, flowers become less about the individual bloom and more about the emotions they carry.
This painting was a lesson to myself. I'm someone who can easily overthink things, but with this work I made a conscious decision to trust my instincts and let the painting evolve without trying to control every mark. The loose brushstrokes, unexpected colour combinations and expressive layers are all part of that conversation. For me, Don't Overthink It is about letting go of perfection and allowing creativity to lead. Sometimes the most honest work happens when you stop analysing every decision and simply respond to what feels right.
