Flowers have an incredible ability to communicate without words. Whether they're given in celebration, sympathy, love or friendship, they carry meaning that feels almost universal. In my work, they become a language for expressing individuality, emotion and connection. This bouquet isn't made up of perfectly matched flowers, and that's exactly the point.
I wanted each bloom to have its own personality, with different colours, shapes and marks sitting comfortably alongside one another. The painting grew layer by layer, embracing unexpected moments rather than chasing perfection. One Size Doesn't Fit All is a reminder that there isn't a single way to belong, to create or to flourish. Like flowers in a garden, our differences are what make the whole more vibrant and interesting.
