Acrylic on canvas
27x32cm, framed
This bold and colourful piece is about the confidence and joy we feel when we are amongst friends. Friends that truly see and accept us. Imagine your besties gathered with you around a table discussing the joy and heartaches that are life. Laughing, commiserating, blossoming and feeling that heartful joy that is only felt with your nearest and dearest. This piece is a tribute to joyful connection and heartfelt times.
Claire Cummack is a Melbourne-based semi-abstract artist working primarily in acrylics. Known for her whimsical floral still life’s and landscapes, her work is characterised by layered colour, expressive movement, and simplified forms that evoke joy, nostalgia, and abundance. Painting from her sunlit garden studio, Claire works intuitively, often beginning with a feeling or memory. Drawing inspiration from nature and the emotional resonance of flowers, she creates works that aim to bring warmth, connection, and a sense of optimism to everyday spaces. Originally trained as an architect and largely self-taught as an artist, Claire’s paintings balance playful naïveté with a strong sense of composition and colour.
