These works are from my "Flower shop" series. When I created this series I reflected on my sources of joy and kept arriving at the same answer: being in and surrounded by nature, especially flowers. So I brought them into the studio, not as a subject to replicate, but as a feeling to inhabit. What followed was uninhibited. The result is exactly what it looks like: bright, wild and free. These paintings carry the same energy I felt while making them, and I hope viewers can feel that joy too.
