Ink & Acrylic on Polycotton
60x44cm, Framed
For many years I lived in my studio on the banks of a tidal estuary in the beautiful northern rivers area of NSA, I got to know this moving landscape mirrored between sky and earth, paddling my kayak, and studying its myriad of life. These cottonwood flowers starting out a buttercup yellow then would drop from their branches onto the reflective surface of the water. Changing colour as they drifted with the tide, from rusted oranges and purple to eventually fade to silvery veins.
