Nikki Sainty - Coast line

$800.00

Acrylic and posca on canvas

50x70cm, unframed

In the area of Larapuna, there is much to explore. A coastline full of beautiful scrub, scratchy ferns and interesting rock formations. A sight often described as one of the best, it’s not hard to understand why. This intense landscape is vibrant blue, rich orange, and bright sandy beaches. This coastline piece is a tribute to the ancestors who knew this strip of land, how to feed, to dance, to sing, and how to create. While the sun dribbles slowly below the horizon, its colours work effortlessly to put on a show. The string of purple softens the sky, hits the rocks and reflects upon the muka/ocean bobbing in the distance until it pushes onto the shore just out of reach of my toes.
