Pushing through the scrub of the bracken Lakri/ferns to reach the beach as the sun is setting. The sun dips below the horizon and the display of colour begins. It starts a vibrant yellow, then orange, before a powerful purple covers the horizon. A powerful colour, far too magnificent for words to describe. The light begins to soften, and the time seems right to move along. While there is just enough light left, I wander back along the cool nguna/sand, passing a payathanima/wallaby nibbling at their first feed. A sneaky timita/possum in the Lakri/ferns eyes me, I presume he knows my kind often leaves a snack not meant for his tummy.
