Escape Artist explores the innocence of choosing not to see, and the instinct to retreat into imagination when reality feels overwhelming. The bunny represents a sense of weightlessness and escape, suspended above a world that continues to exist beneath it. The eye emerging from the earth suggests the truths that remain present, even when we choose to look away. Through its dreamlike imagery, the work reflects on the blurred line between innocence and avoidance, the comfort of not knowing, and the quiet awareness that perhaps we are hiding from something we already understand.
