Green glaze over textured slip on grey stoneware

This piece is part of a series of works in preparation for my own wedding. The final iteration will feature at the end of the aisle with me as I'm marrying my fiancée.
This proud form has been covered in slip and textured by my fingers, creating a rippled surface for the green glaze to flow over and glisten upon.
Amphorae were originally vessels for transport, often carrying wine. This is a fitting design as the final iteration will be taken with me back to New Zealand for the wedding.
